Last night former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura endorsed Kamala Harris for President and Tim Walz for Vice President. He did so live on CNN yesterday evening as he defended Walz’s honorable and exemplary military service record. He called the MAGA attacks against Walz “shameful” and “despicable.” And he lambasted J.D. Vance for now pledging his allegiance to Donald Trump, a man who avoided military service because of his controversial medical deferment. Ventura highlighted the common practice of rich, well-connected young men who found various dodgy ways to avoid the draft during the Vietnam War.
Ventura was under serious consideration as RFK Jr.’s running mate in this presidential election. However, he now says he wants to see America’s first female president before he passes on. He’s fully on board with the Harris-Walz ticket. Ventura previously endorsed Walz for Governor of Minnesota.
Jesse Ventura was a Navy Seal and is a Vietnam War veteran. He had a long career as a professional wrestler in the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE). He was Minnesota’s 38th governor from 1999 to 2003, and he’s not affiliated with a political party.
