No, I do not watch “The Five.” It is okay. If you thought I was someone who actually turns on the TV to watch that program, I do not. We are all good here. If you do not know what “The Five” is, even better.
In FOX’s own words, The Five is a show where “five of your favorite FOX News personalities discuss current issues in a roundtable discussion.”
Those five hosts are: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance.
Kidding kidding.
Those five hosts are:
1) Jesse Watters,
2) Jeanine Pirro,
3) Dana Perino,
4) Greg Gutfield, and
5) Jessica Tarlov.
Wait, Jessica Tarlov? She is a liberal (www.mediaite.com/...). What is more, if I look Tarlov up, I can read that she is a political strategist for the Democratic Party.
What is a DNC political strategist doing on FOX News? Why does FOX News have a “liberal heathen” on their airwaves?
I can describe the reason why as “simplicated.”
I will use another program to illustrate. I am sure many of you are familiar with the ABC show “The View.” If so, you would be familiar with how in the last several years the show has had a cast of hosts that are predominantly liberal or at least centrists, but the show will also have one host that is decidedly conservative. They all talk about political issues, and then the debate gets heated when the 4 non-conservative (non-Republican) hosts all end up arguing with the one significantly more conservative fifth host.
Often times too, and this is an important point, the ONE primary conservative will concede the argument, or they will say something to the effect of, “I am a lifelong Republican, but something something something my Republican stance was wrong.” Or, that individual will be cut off by a commercial break. This was the roll that Megan McCain used to fill on The View. McCain was (is) an ultra conservative, and she would make as much very clear, but she would then caveat how she was nonetheless still anti-Trump.
While I may agree with almost everything (if not all) of the liberal themes of The View, I take huge issue with its organization and presentation. It is not a mistake or coincidence that the show has 4 hosts that are not in the “Right” camp and only one host that is in the “Right” camp. It is meant to fabricate a subliminal message within the human mind. It is a manufactured echo chamber. “These people are in the majority, they must be right,” is the intended subliminal message. It is meant to bolster the confidence of people who agree with them and suppress people who disagree.
It is manufactured peer pressure to push you into agreeing with a presented narrative, or for reinforcing your agreement with that narrative.
This is why FOX News’ “The Five” has Jessica Tarlov as a co-host. Tarlov is meant to be the butt of the joke for the other four conservative co-hosts. She can recite the most logical “I really can’t argue with that” points that chip away at Republicans, MAGAism, and Trump all that she wants, but it does not matter. Tarlov is there to say everything a smart liberal would say, and then gets trashed upon or ignored by the other co-hosts. This does everything in the political inverse that I said The View does — indeed this is probably why The Five exists. FOX probably saw what The View was about and thought, “hey, we can use this...”
However, there is one other thing that Tarlov’s presence on The Five does which is even more insidious. Tarlov introduces the conservative FOX viewer to the logic of people like ourselves. She introduces MAGAists, Trumpers, and other deep Red voters to liberal arguments. You might think this is a good thing, that maybe this would break through to some individuals’ minds.
With the presentation style of The Five, all this does is help to inoculate conservative viewers from logic and reason. “Nope — I am not interested in what you have to say Dumbocrat — I have heard it all before.” Tarlov is FOX’s way of building up conservative viewer tolerance for rational thought, making it harder for them to ever change their mind.
Tarlov is part of FOX’s indoctrination efforts.
This brainwashing is especially disconcerting when you hear Tarlov’s own words:
“There are a lot of people who are really supportive of conservatives. I mean, we have a huge Democratic viewership on The Five. So over 20% of the viewers are liberals and we have the highest number of independents as well from all the networks.”

Just throw that 20% number around in your mind, and think about this quote from Harvard Health (www.health.harvard.edu/....):
“Viruses cannot survive without a living cell in which to reproduce. Once a virus enters a living cell (the host cell) and takes over a cell's inner workings, the cell cannot carry out its normal life-sustaining tasks.”
FOX News’ conservatism is a viral disease which, if left alone and isolated, will die off. That is why Tarlov is on FOX News. She is meant to help FOX News indoctrinate disaffected liberals and independents into the MAGAist cult.
But do not just take my word for it. Read this account from someone describing what happened to their mother:
I was raised by a strong pro-choice feminist mother, who now tells me “cute stories” that happen on The Five (the Fox daytime show), loves Trump, and thinks abortion should be illegal after six weeks.
I grew up in a house where we openly talked politics. Now, it’s noticeably absent from our conversations. She actually said that she hopes my daughter, who is four, grows up to be conservative. When I said “absolutely not”, she seemed truly baffled.
I will say that whenever she spends time with my minority friends she seems to temporarily soften on the racist stuff, then she goes back to Texas and watches a few hours of Fox and it’s back to “normal”.

But wait, it gets worse than this with FOX News’ “The Five.”
The View/The Five’s model has spilt over into most, if not all, of mainstream media. This includes written newspapers. The New York Times is probably the strongest example, not because it is creating media that is critical of Democrats whilst alleging to be pro-Democratic/pro-liberal. This creates an allure for liberal readers and brainwashes them.
In March of 2024, The Computational Social Science Lab (CSSLab) at the University of Pennsylvania did a study on the NYT. The CSSLab analyzed NYT articles immediately following the report from Special Counsel Robert Hur, the first time the media started really pushing that Biden was too old to be President. The CSSLab said:
“During the week that the Special Counsel’s report came out, we examined the top 20 articles on the Times’ landing page every four hours. In that time, they published 26 unique articles about Biden’s age, of which 1 of them explored the possibility that Trump’s age was of equal or more concern…
...it’s hard to say whether or not it is excessive without some other equally relevant issue to compare it with. Helpfully, an obvious comparison arose when, on February 10, 2024, Trump announced that if he regained power he would pull the US out of NATO and even encourage Russian invasions of democratic allies...

This push was EVEN MORE forced after the Biden-Trump Presidential debate.
They are not interested in informing, you, the reader. They want, like The Five, to push an anti-Democratic narrative and brainwash you in the process. First it starts with Biden is old, then questions of if he is too old, then questioning his cognition, and then they have you.
They take one inch of a “reasonable question,” and strangle the truth with it.
Just like what Jessica Tarlov said about 20% of The Five’s viewers being liberal, it is no coincidence that the NYT is targeted at a predominantly liberal reader base.
They want to brainwash you! They are deliberately lying — TO YOU!
Do not just take my word for it. Lawrence O’Donnell lit the airwaves ablaze when he lashed out at the mainstream media for 25 minutes on his nightly program “The Last Word.” O’Donnell said it outright, that we are being lied to all in the name of showing deference to Donald Trump:
Disagree with me if you want to. Insult my intelligence if you want to. But I ask you to recognize that you would also be standing against and insulting the intelligence of people like Lawrence O’Donnell. Please, go ahead and try to say that he is out of touch.

Do not congratulate them. Do not feel excitement because of them. Do not celebrate when the NYT fact checks Donald Trump once in a blue moon. Reciting facts and criticizing a fascist is the lowest possible bar for an American media outlet!
Instead, pay attention to the dozens and dozens of articles they post that attack literally every Democrat, while they ignore Donald Trump and the RNC.
It is an abusive relationship. They claim they are doing all of this for us, and then they actively harm us.
This is part of their lie to all of us. This is their effort to copy what programs like The Five do. They throw people a bone, and then attempt to entrap us in their fabricated narrative.
This is how they try to brainwash us.
It is time for us to divorce ourselves from the mainstream media.
