It has been a rather tumultuous week professionally and even personally a little bit but at least the Chicago weather has strangely...cooperated. It hasn’t been too hot, it hasn’t too chilly, in the day or at night. Not too much rain, not too sunny. it’s really hasn’t been much of anything but absolutely wonderful.
It has been a bit humid...but that’s normal. I’ve cut on the A/C a few times but usually, I’ve been sleeping with the window cracked and the barest hint of a teeny-weeny nip in the air; ideal sleeping conditions
I didn’t really appreciate this year’s Chicago weather until I returned from Baltimore and D.C. under a star-filled night with temps in the upper sixties. Only one emergency warning has gone out for a tornado this year, I believe. Anything else, I was on the East Coast for that.
I’d really rather not talk about the cooperation of the Chicago weather gods. Because the next thing you know…
I know that there’s been a lot of rough weather elsewhere. And while Chicago hasn’t had a serious cold weather spell in a few years now, I know that we can get that at anytime as well.
It’s not like I’m the only one saying; a lot of people in Cook County have been talking about the gorgeous summer...well, they’ve been whispering about. When the Chicago weather gods seem to be appeased, no one wants to talk up anything else. We seem to be liking it just the way it is.
