New in PN: Kamala Harris dogwalks Trump
"Harris walked right onto that stage, approached Trump as he tried to slink away, and shook his hand. That subtle show of dominance set the tone for a dominant performance that sent Trump into a tailspin."

This is a fun read, full of insight...and snark. Inside Trump’s Spin Room From Hell. www.thebulwark.com/…
WHEN IT COMES TO SPIN ROOMS there is one unimpeachable truism that political hacks of all stripes can agree on: A winning candidate needn’t show up there.
So when the Secret Service arrived at the Pennsylvania Convention Center after Tuesday night’s presidential debate across the street at the National Constitution Center, the room began to buzz. We all knew which of the night’s two combatants felt compelled to appear before the assembled press.
✂️
Burnt-sienna face paint melting around the edges, shoulders sagging, lips and neck hole pursed, Donald Trump shambled over to the bank of cameras. Reporters shouted questions about his bizarre claim that immigrants were eating pets. They wondered if he would debate his foe again, why he was so rattled by her, and whether he was disappointed that she had earned the coveted Taylor Swift endorsement.

Michael Steele has the shorter version.
Michael Steele on the debate: She spanked that ass

But wait, there's moar!
Michael Steele: You watched the man lose the air out of the very important parts of his manhood…

Love this. President Biden just said, "America got to see the leader I’ve been proud to work alongside for 3.5 years. Wasn’t even close. VP Harris proved she’s the best choice to lead our nation. We’re not going back." Thank you, Joe Biden. We wouldn’t be here without you.

How did this prediction turn out?

Watch the above clip again and then think about this:
We had a 2 days news cycle in which MAGA was falsely insisting Haitians were stealing pet cats and eating them. Tons of cat memes from GOP politicians, including Trump.
It was all about cats.
But when Trump brought it up tonight, he said they were eating peoples dogs.
🤷♂️
He even flubbed the Qray-Qray.

FIDJT knows he lost the debate.
Trump essentially just threatened to revoke ABC's broadcast license should he be re-elected.
Believe him when he "jokes" about becoming a "dictator on day one".
Dictators don't believe in freedom of the press; they target journalists to limit their inconvenient speech.

Trump threatens ABC: "They're a news organization. They have to be licensed to do it. They ought to take away their license for the way they did that."
===
Trump tells Fox he's "less inclined" to do a second debate because the first one went so great.

Now THIS is a perfect headline. Finally, the media is starting to coming around & it’s about time. More of this now.

Trump's Stock Nosedives After Disastrous Debate. meidasnews.com/…
The price of shares in Trump Media stock took a nosedive this morning after Donald Trump's disastrous performance in the debate last night against Kamala Harris.
The stock has already fallen nearly 75% from it's high of $79.38 less than 6 months ago. Trump is unable to sell his shares until next week on September 20, so he is literally watching hundreds of millions of dollars evaporate while he pensively waits. Trump own's 59% of the total shares, so each drop costs him a fortune.

In North Carolina’s gubernatorial race, a WRAL poll conducted by SurveyUSA found Democratic state Attorney General Josh Stein with a big lead over Republican Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson, 51% to 37%. In March, the same pollster found the right-wing lieutenant governor trailing by only 2 points. (Click the link for information on the survey’s methodologies and margins of error.) www.msnbc.com/...

Oh sweet Jeebus. Here we go again.
Speaker Johnson pulls must-pass bill to keep government open amid backlash from right over the short-term bill. He added a measure barring undocumented immigrants from voting in elections, something that’s already illegal but he says is necessary and that Trump wants included. Ds are opposed.
Vote was supposed to be today. Unclear how Johnson proceeds especially amid Trump demands. Will he cut a deal with Dems and anger the right and potentially Trump? Or will he push a Trump-backed bill that Dems willl oppose?
11 leg days until a govt shutdown.
