Quick story—out today from Political Wire
NPR reports that as of 11 a.m. ET today there have been 306,422 visitors to Vote.gov referred from Taylor Swifts’s Instagram post last night endorsing Kamala Harris for president. politicalwire.com/...
That’s just through 11 am. I’d expect that something close to half a million new voters may register and vote, out of the 280 million followers on Swift’s IG account. This is reasonable considering her past success in registering voters (2023, an off year, for example).
Given that PA, GA, or NC may come down to 10,000 or 20,000 votes, it’s entirely possible that engaged, registered, early-voting Swifties (Swift specifically recommended this method to her fans) might be THE difference in one or more of these states.
Finally... a shout-out to TFG for that fake Swifties for Trump meme that helped spur Swift to endorse much earlier this year than in 2020.
