IAN: September 13, 2024 Pupdate and funny videos

This is what I call a Puppy Puddle! And look at those colors coming in!

Happy Friday! Nothing going on today, nothing going on most of this week. It’s been rainy and dreary all week, cooler, but ouch. Brain fog has been deep, I’ve been sleeping a lot, oh and I pulled a muscle or knocked a rib out of plays while bending over from the wheelchair to pet puppies. So yeah, that was a thing.  Oh to be 24 again! 

This group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!

The puppies are over three weeks old now, they’re still gaining weight every day. They’re also starting to eat puppy food, just a little at a time, but it’s begun. I had to pull Sunny’s food out of the crate because they were trying to eat the dry kibble, and they’re really not ready for that yet. Don’t need choking puppies. Sunny is coming out of the crate and leaving them alone more anyway. Trust me, she isn’t starving. 
Got our Temu order this week, with a puzzle feeder, a lick mat, a puppy bowl that looks like a flower and you fill each of the ‘leaves’, a tug toy that suction cups to the floor, and a training treat bag that clips onto a belt or your pants or whatever. We’re going to start working on ‘sit’ next week. They’re all walking easily now, sometimes trying to run, and sitting up is easy. Not so much toppling over these days, unless they are pounced by another pup. Oh, and play growls and barks and rough housing with each other has started as well. 

Fenna tried to attack my bandage on my leg, which of course I had to stop, after I took a pic. 

Physically I’ve not had a good week. I’m in pain, I’ve had a few seizures, I’m exhausted, and I am having trouble focusing on things. Bit is also showing some signs of Fibromyalgia. She’s having the touch points issue, and has been feeling ‘off and achy’ the past few days from the weather. I was in my early 20’s when mine started. Sorry kid, didn’t mean to pass that along too. Hers is pretty mild, she says it’s really just an annoyance. That’s where I was for years before the fibro and the FND started playing poorly together. Hopefully hers is always mild. 

 So I found some interesting and funny videos for you for this week. I don’t have energy for a lot, and I didn’t take as many pictures as I wanted because the pups are just moving around SO much these days. It’s harder to catch them still, unless they are asleep. 

 

I like the Veronica cartoons, but this is in the same world, and funny too. 
 

I found this very interesting. He’s a good man, and I like his music on top of that.
