GenZ report: We have liftoff

Fun day today registering voters at Columbus State Community College (55% minority student body) and Ohio State University. Vice President Harris’ performance at the debate has really energized students to get involved. Cardboard cutouts of the candidates were a magnet for people to take selfies to put on social media. Or, more importantly, “I have to send this to mom!” Gotta love the intergenerational pressure to GOTV.

Other comments: “My roommates and I watched the debate and talked about it until 2am.” “She crushed it.” “I’m optimistic!” “Thank you so much for being here, I had to do this.” “I’m volunteering at the polls.” “I love them!” “How can I volunteer?”

Registrations were already high this cycle and have increased sharply following the debate.
