HIMARS takes out a Russian training camp southwest of the city of Donetsk. Reports indicate up to 50 Russians may have been killed.
WARNING: Video shows dead Russians lying on the ground.
Russia is finally ousted from their Alamo in Vovchansk.
Double bavovna.
No, you can’t drive there.
Russians apparently murdered a Ukrainian prisoner with an ornamental sword. I won’t embed the photo because it is very graphic. But you can see a blurred image of it here if you are so inclined. Somebody wrote “Kursk” on the sword.
Russian commander gives a briefing to his recon group. Must have been Casual Friday.
This is reported to be near Kherson. The first video shows the commander in his slippers and shorts. The second video shows what happened to his troops. Spoiler Alert: They got fucked up by Ukrainian artillery.
WARNING: The second video is bloody.
A group of 13 Russian soldiers without food or water or ammo surrender to Ukrainians in the Kursk area.
These Russians got fooled and ended up captured. But, hey, one of them got a Snickers bar.
Russia’s counter attack in the Kursk area is in danger of blowing up in their faces. The attached Forbes article points out that Ukraine’s invading force at Novyi Put is moving northeast to try to encircle Russian troops, but that Russia has 38,000 troops in the Kursk area (mostly conscripts) while Ukraine has about 10K.
This post shows just how much Russia has burned through its supplies of artillery. The photo on the left shows how much artillery was stored at this Russian site and the right photo shows its all gone.
Yet another use for drones.
A Russian vehicle carrying anti-tank mines is set ablaze, but the video cuts off before the big bavovna. WTF!
A politician’s pet project gets burned down.
Who the hell builds a replica of a prison tower?
Did the Ukrainian Navy launch this attack from sea? And, if so, from where?
How to Get Everyone Killed 101:
1. Drive to the middle of an open field.
2. Make sure there is no cover.
3. Let everyone out.
WARNING: Everyone gets killed.
Zaluzhnyi raised a good question, but it is clear (at least to me) that the objectives of the Kursk offensive are mostly political. That’s not necessarily a criticism. Wars are fought politically as well as militarily.
Putin is so awesome that even cats run from his supreme presence.
I take these “estimates” with more than a few grains of salt. If you aren’t on the ground all along the front, your estimate is going to be very rough. It is highly unlikely that once the war is over we will ever know how many Russians were killed/wounded.
Qatar steps up.
Qatar? Seriously?
Poland and other countries in Eastern and Central Europe have been suffering from severe flooding.
A platoon of puppies chases down dinner.
It pays to be persistent.
