As Davidkc wrote on Tuesday, a new poll of young voters (18-29) shows Harris with a commanding 31 point lead over Trump. Women in that age group favor Harris by 47 points.
But to take full advantage of that margin, more young people need to register to vote. For example, in Arizona, 56,000, less than 50% of 18 year olds are registered to vote.
Voter registration closes on October 7 in the critical states of AZ, FL, GA and OH. We should consider devoting as much time and contributions as possible to registering voters, and young voters in particular, in those states.
Do you know anyone in those states? Contact them and make them aware of the deadline.
There are many colleges in the four states. If you or a friend or relative is going to one of them, contact them and ask if the student is registered and whether they might be interested in registering voters there.
Field Team 6 has excellent volunteer opportunities, including in-person efforts, phonebanking, postcarding, texting and “social media storming.” This links to their phonebanking events in the next week, including:
Georgia on October 1 from 4-6
Georgia on October 2, from 4-6.
Florida on October 3 from 2-4
