Good morning! Today is the fourteenth Tuesday that Donald Trump has been a convicted felon.

And it’s now just 15 days until his sentencing! Two weeks and a day!

We’re back, after a brief break for Labor Day. I needed the time off to fluff, fold and vacuum-seal my storage containers full of white pants until next summer. Obviously.

But now, it’s “after Labor Day.” Labor Boxing Day, if you will. (Eastern Orthodox Labor Day, if you won’t.)

And that means people are officially supposed to be paying attention to the election!

Hello, America! Kamala Harris is the Democratic nominee for president. Not Joe Biden. And Tim Walz will rotate your tires for free!

It’s also time for the usual Federal holiday “It’s Tuesday, not Monday” situation. It’s Tuesday, so we’re leaving the door open for Joan McCarter. But it’s also a pseudo-Monday, so there’s no telling what will happen.

We roll with what life hands us here. That’s the show.
