Having watched the last debate and yelling for days about the Biden Prep Team. I have a few views about the upcoming Harris / Trump debate.
It will not be a debate, but an Open Microphone verbal artillery duel.
Moderator(s) questions will mean nothing and remain unanswered. Except for the technician running the Audio, there will be no control of this event. Trump will not follow the rules laid out. He will use any means, fair or unfair to dominate over Harris, (dominance is the goal of this debate event). Trump will have command of an open microphone for his allotted time period(s). He will abuse this time and use it to launch the most vile and subversive attacks on Harris that his weird twisted mind can come up with.
This is Trump’s last chance to get ahead and he knows it. I suspect that his themes will be (in no particular order):
- Harris is corrupt
- Trump was great for the economy
- Biden is corrupt
- Trump was a genius at world peace.
- Everybody will be better off and richer with Trump in charge
- Everybody will be worse off and poorer if Harris wins.
- attacks will not be limited to anything above.
This venue is Trump’s arena and home court advantage. He has lots-o-experience taking command of a scene on a set. This is all it is to him. The act to stay out of Jail.
Speaking of acting, don’t be surprised if he leaves his lectern to physically hulk over Harris (proves dominance) despite the rules not to. (Appropriate response: Go back to your place before you get Maced, you weird bully.)
This will not be a debate with rules, but a school yard yelling match, with turns enforced by live and dead microphones.
In the first debate with Biden, Trump used shock, awe and a large mouthful of lies to so overwhelm Biden so he really did not know how to be the Adult in the room and what lie to answer first. Expect, more of the same strategy from Trump, but with different tactics.
With Trump, everything is about dominance. Harris’ job is to take the fight out of Trump, show the public how scatterbrain he has become, then dominate him by making people like her. This is not a fact or knowledge contest, it is a likability, charisma and dominance contest.
Unlike Biden, Trump won’t drop out and pick a better Party flag bearer, He is the Party.
Harris should not be afraid to start her open microphone session response with the words “Everything you just said is a lie” and then attack his negative attitude (not his lies) about America. We are a great country, we want to move on from the Dictatorship that Trump wants to make of America. My perception is that people are starving for a chance to feel pride about their country again.
Trump Round 2 is not it.
In short, Don’t be the adult in the room, be the Leader that everyone (the free world) yearns for. Be unafraid to call out Trump for the Snake Oil Salesman and crook that he is. This wannabe emperor has no clothes, Harris will need to point it out.
