It’s snowing in northern Alabama and everything is shut. Yesterday was a bit of a panic day for people. This never fails to amaze me as a Yankee interloper but is probably for the best as few people here have ever driven in snow.
The birds, still, have to get on with their lives and I observed an interesting behavior from a bluejay.
He was digging through the snow to find a cache of seeds. Maybe his, but maybe someone else’s.
There may be a metaphor in this for what we need to do, or maybe not. I’ll leave that for you to decide.
