It's long past time to call out this reckless, phony Senator from Iowa
Joni Ernst, the Republican Senator from Iowa is basically a phony sack of
shit. For someone to have joined the National Guard and served for many
years in the military and took an oath to protect the United States, for her
to vote to confirm another lying phony sack of shit like Pete Hegseth, who
for anyone with one working brain cell knows is completely unqualified to
head the Defense Department, is just a line in the sand too far for any
Senator let alone her to cross. Here's why:
1. Yes, it's been reported that Joni has been threatened by MAGA and Trump
aides to fall in line and vote for Hegseth or else they will run her out of
office next time. If true, that makes her a much bigger coward than either
Stormy Daniels or E. Jean Carroll who stood up to Trump and for themselves,
who never served in the military. Ernst's behavior would actually support
Hegseth's views for why women shouldn't serve in military combat positions.
Who wants a cowardly woman like Ernst serving alongside others during
combat? If she were captured by the enemy would they just need to give her a
worse haircut to get her to reveal secret military operations?
2. But here's what disqualifies her most as a Senator anyone can trust. For
someone who claims in her book and in the media that she was raped by her
boyfriend in college and mentally and physically abused in a marriage only
after this information was revealed in her divorce papers, this sorry excuse
for an oath taking Senator supported and voted for Trump three times (not
including her primary votes), voted to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S.
Supreme Court, and now voted to confirm Pete Hegseth for Secretary of
Defense. One should call her vote the vote that made Hegseth Secretary of
the Defense Department. Here's why this stands out:
1. As most of us know Trump has been credibly accused of committing actual
sexual assault by about two dozen women. He was also adjudicated in a court of law in a civil case of defamation to have committed sexual assault
against E. Jean Carroll, an incident that could have been called rape in
other jurisdictions but not New York. And Trump was an adulterer with all
three wives and he had sex with a porn star shortly after his current wife
gave birth to his son, Barron (Barren is the better spelling). Does one not
think all of his three wives suffered from some form of "mental abuse"
after they found out he was continually cheating on them even if their
lavish lifestyle was more important to them? HIs first wife Ivana also
alleged he raped her in divorce papers before modifying her tone for reasons
unknown but likely under duress or promises of more money. But Joni was able to completely ignore Trump's well documented history of sexual assault,
rape, and abuse of his wives to vote for Trump three times, hold a fundraiser for him at least once (remember the pig roast at her family pig farm?), and do his bidding in the Senate. She chose instead to believe all Trump's lies, dismissals, and even defamation about all the above reported incidents.
2. Brett Kavanaugh was credibly accused of attempted rape by Christine
Blasey-Ford in his confirmation hearings. And he was also credibly accused
of several other sexual assault attempts by other women that weren't
properly investigated by anyone in the FBI. In fact most of those reports
were ignored completely in order to get him confirmed. But poor pathetic
Joni had no trouble voting to confirm Kavanaugh to the USSC despite his
lying about the Ford accusations and including all his drunken behavior.
3. As for Pete Hegseth, we've all gotten a good unhealthy dose of why he's
unqualified to become the next Secretary of Defense. First and foremost, he
lacks all the normal qualifications for the job. Then add on his white nationalist tattoos and adherence to this extremist group, his history of adultery, his alcoholism (he's an alcoholic so everyone needs to call him one), and his embezzlement of money from two non profit organizations he ran into the ground. Then there's also his history of spousal abuse and a date rape incident reported in California where he paid the woman $50,000 to sign a non disclosure agreement. Also he's an unrepentant liar. That means he's still an alcoholic. And he also lied and avoided answering simple questions in his confirmation hearing. Yet, Joni chose to ignore all this including
admonitions made by his own mother and former sister-in-law in order to
expose this toxic masculinity cretin? No rational oath abiding person would
ever put someone like this at the head of the Defense Department. This man
couldn't run a fast food restaurant.
Of course most of the other Republican Senators drank this same MAGA
Kool-Aid as Ernst but that's not why I have singled out her out. My reason
is if Senator Joni Ernst can choose to ignore all the credible accusations
of rape and sexual assault made by other women against the above named men,
everyone should be allowed to reject her claims of this happening to her. She's a
complete fraud and phony to me and I want her to be one to you. Everyone
should see her this way and point it out when necessary. Nothing she says
and does should ever be trusted again. She was never mentally and physically
abused and raped. I claim she made it all up so voters would see her as a
victim....just like Trump does with his followers.
