Well, it’s Wednesday. And October! And… we’ve zeroed out the Shutdown Countdown.™

We might also be in the middle of a Greg Dworkin shutdown, too. We’ll have to see how the work is going at the KITM Connecticut Field Office.

It’s hard to know where the day will take us, today. It’s always hard to know in a Trump Chaos Era. But the government shutdown provides a great “distraction” from the two dozen other things that might otherwise dominate our discussion. And of course, there really is no such thing as a distraction with this guy.

Today’s countdown numbers:

• 0 days until the “legal” funding for what’s left of the US government runs out… again! Sorry, we’re closed!
• 1,207 days remaining in Trump’s legal term of office
• 398 days until the midterm elections, if we have them
• 459 days—if we have those elections—until we seat that new Congress.

Our random country generator says, today’s an unlucky day for: Afghanistan!

We didn’t come up with Afghanistan before in our Invasion Bingo game? Huh. Surprising.

But it’s actually been in the news of late, as a possible (re-)invasion target. Trump wants Greenland Bagram Air Base, and says he’ll take it by force, if necessary.

No plan or anything. He just wants it. So, there you go.

Ha ha! Oh, well. That’s Our Trump!™
