Requesting financial help for a close friend of mine

Midnight Tea aka Ninian has been a good friend of mine for the past three decades. They are in a pretty dire financial position. They are the primary caregiver for their father, who’s suffering from terminal cancer, and have been having to pay for things out of their own pocket. They’ve also suffered from a number of other recent hardships, and are basically down to only a few dollars in their account, so they shared their ko-fi account with me and some other close friends to avoid being financially destitute.

I am working on something to help them more permanently, but they need some fairly immediate help, so they (and I) would appreciate any help anyone here would care to give. It will mean a lot to them and to me.

I haven’t put in a request like this before, though I was able to find some similar asks, so I hope this is received well.
