Happy Monday! We’re back. And Trump’s gone!
Not “gone,” gone. Just out of the country. Which is usually a nice break, actually! Even though he tends to spend the plane ride to and from wherever he’s going saying things that make us worry even more about his mental health.
But that’s kind of his thing. And it doesn’t seem to make any damned difference to anything, somehow!
We can also add another count up: the number of days that we haven’t been able to have Greg on the show because of bathroom remodeling work. Well, I think it might be three so far. Maybe four. Hey, maybe adding that count up isn’t such a good idea after all. We don’t even really know what the number is. So we’ll just let you know he won’t be here today, and stick with the traditional figures.

- 1,195 days remaining in Trump’s legal term of office
- 386 days until the midterm elections, if we have them
- 447 days—if we have those elections—until we seat that new Congress.

What’s more likely, do you think? That we’re invading Taiwan to repel a Chinese occupation of the island? Or that we’re… just invading it first, for some strange reason?
Neither one would be particularly smart, but at least one of them has been the strategic assumption for decades, even though no one thinks it’d work out. The other one is just so nonsensical, though, that, well...
