Well, there is no such thing as an original idea, so I apologize if I am repeating something you’ve heard before or something you already dreamed up.
Generative AI can be a powerful tool to fight hate emails and hate phone calls.
1. Rent or buy a generative AI tool. [1]
2. Train the tool on sample hate emails and sample hate phone calls.
3. Feed the AI all the hate emails or calls you receive.
Result: the AI will find similar emails and calls—it will look for writing patterns and voices.
Over time, the AI will be able to group similar emails and calls and give them descriptive names like ‘Loud-Threatens Murder-Male-Southwestern Accent-Calls Between 8:30 PM and 10 PM’.
But how do you identify the person behind the emails or phone calls?
You could publish the results on a website.
Receivers of hate emails and calls could use the website to see if the hater is on file.
Encourage people to listen to or read some of the worst and try to identify them. Family, friends, co-workers, customers, etc., can identify the person from the pattern of speech or the sound of their voice.
[1] Obviously, this is the hard part. You would need a patron. Note that government military and spy software already does this.
[2] Make very clear that you are not accusing anyone, just identifying hate. Avoid legal pitfalls.
