What are you reading? October 31, 2025

I am reading:

Nothing in particular as I am in the process of moving into another apartment in the same building (it doesn’t make make moving any more fun, especially when you’ve lived in the same apartment for over a decade). I will say that this is a roomier apartment with more room for books, books, books although I still need a moratorium on buying physical books; that can’t change.

I kinda wanted a clean slate, so I don’t know what books I am reading next but I do find myself growing through George Orwell’s post-World War II essays in my tattered hard copy of his collected essay. Nothing in particular umps out at me although I am noting that he is very pessimistic about the world to come.

I did set aside some Virginia Woolf, maybe I’ll read that next although I am sick and tired of all of the brainiac-type stuff...I need to read some mystery, horror, or complete and utter trash.
