Hey, it’s Thursday, already! It’s almost chaos time. Can you tell the difference between chaos time and regular time?
Greg Dworkin can’t, either. It’s all chaos, all the way down.
And as much as I hate to admit it, it really looks like Trump is succeeding in normalizing not just the chaos, but the disconnectedness from reality. Even as it’s becoming more obvious to all!
Today’s countdown numbers:
- It’s Day 9 of the shutdown. I suppose it’s time to switch over to this format, now. Sorry, we’re still closed!
- 1,199 days remaining in Trump’s legal term of office — an even number… that’s something!
- 390 days until the midterm elections, if we have them
- 451 days—if we have those elections—until we seat that new Congress.
Our random country generator says, today’s an unlucky day for: Grenada Trinidad and Tobago!
I think that’s our fifth “and” country, now. St. Kitts and Nevis; São Tomé and Principe; Antigua and Barbuda; Bosnia and Herzegovina; and now… Trinidad and Tobago.
Do you think these countries fight over which name comes first and which comes second?
Could Trump consider that a reason to invade? He doesn’t like the order? He’s “renamed” a gulf already. He could decide to invade a country because he doesn’t like the name.
But would he invade “both” places? Or just the one he thinks should be second, but isn’t?
Ha ha! Oh, well. That’s Our Trump!™
