As reported by Emmett Lindner and Deborah B. Solomon, writing for the New York Times, when former Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers felt the bitter pangs of jealousy or rejection in his amorous yearnings, he would seek counsel and solace in the tender and fatherly advice of his special friend, Jeffrey Epstein.
Emails between the two were released Wednesday by House Republicans, along with more than 20,000 pages of documents. They show the two men bantering, sometimes multiple times a day.

But many of the emails focus on Mr. Summers’s conversations with a woman and his concern about how to handle relations with her. Over several exchanges, Mr. Epstein offered advice, sometimes referring to Mr. Summers’s connection as though it were a sport.
As Lindner and Solomon report:
The newly released conversations between the two men took place years after Mr. Epstein pleaded guilty in 2008 to prostitution-related charges. Many of the exchanges occurred after an investigation by The Miami Herald about a secret plea deal, bringing Mr. Epstein back into the spotlight.
Well, whatever, amirite? I mean, when you want advice, you get it from the guy who has all the girls, right? And no joke, Larry was down with the rap. Just check this out!

In November 2018, Mr. Summers forwarded Mr. Epstein an email from a woman whom the former Treasury secretary had corresponded with: “Think no response for a while probably appropriate.”
“She’s already begining to sound needy :) nice,” Mr. Epstein replied.
That’s right, Larry. You wanna ghost her! This Epstein guy knows all the moves. What a sly dog he is .. err, was.
OK, we know that House Republicans released this among the 20,000 pages of mostly meaningless Epstein fluff (It’s called a “document dump” for a reason) because they knew it could embarrass Democrats and distract from the far more damning (and relevant) material regarding Mr. Trump.
What they didn’t seem to realize is that most of us aren’t getting the heebie-jeebies about whether Democrats were taken up in this guy’s gob-smacking network of the rich and famous. There’s gonna be a lot of this stuff on both sides of the aisle, I suspect, as this material dribbles out. Trust us, we'll deal.
Truth is, most of us just think it’s creepy, disgusting and sad.
