Trump is toast.
The House will vote, with over 100 Republican defectors, to release the Epstein files.
The Senate will vote with similar margins.
Trump will veto.
The House and Senate will override the veto — every Democratic Senator and every R Senator up for re-election (and then some).
More is going to come out and it’s going to get worse.
The best end-game for Rs to keep as many seats in 2026 as possible is to get distance from the coming scandal — meaning a recorded vote to release the files.
We are now on a Nixon-like timeline.
Except…
The Republican REALLY want JD Vance eligible to serve two terms. To Do this, he will have to take office at least halfway through Trump’s term — meaning they will need to nurse Trump through the midterms and force his resignation.
If Dems have the House and Senate in 2027 (I believe they will at this point) there is no reason for Trump to stick around. Vance gets to run as the incumbent R President, meaning within the GOP MAGA holds onto power. (If you asked me, I’d guess someone like Utah Gov Spencer Cox would be the 2028 nominee with Vance out of the picture). This is important because they can’t risk an honest Republican, or at least an R not a member of the cult, becoming President.
So they will head the lessons from Biden, and make the switch to give Vance as much headway as possible — but it has to be done in Jan 2027.
Also that would make Peter Thiel very happy.
