40 Days Unpaid

I was just paid for the first time since October 8^th. I am privileged enough that that did not ruin my life or my finances. The same cannot be said for many of co-workers, who were forced to borrow against their retirements, take 2^nd, 3^rd, or 4^th jobs, or run their credit cards up to, and past the limit. For some, this still ultimately left them without the money to buy gas and food, and pay their rent and mortgages. For those of you in this community mad that Democrats folded when they were “winning”, and/or are now rooting for another shutdown, please keep the human cost in mind.
