Ukraine has stepped up attacks on Russian power plants as well as refineries.

Ukraine's targeted strikes of TPPs in Russia is quite a new phenomenon. It may be partly viewed as a tit-for-tat strategy aiming to deter Russian attacks on similar Ukrainian facilities.
We can expect more such strikes, albeit not against nuclear power plants like those near Smolensk and Kursk. 1/2

Future targets in Russia could include the Balaklava TPP in Sevastopol and perhaps the huge Novocherkassk TPP near Rostov. There is also the Novobryanskaya Transmission Hub, hit just two days ago. Many Russian TPPs rely on irreplaceable US- and Austrian-made equipment. 2/2
A Russian anti-submarine ship catches fire at Sevastopol.
The Russian Black Sea Fleet has four such ships built between 1982 and 1989, including Muromets, Suzdalets, Kasimov, and Eisk. It is not yet clear which of them was on fire.
The monitoring channel notes that in 2024, Russians withdrew two of the above-mentioned ships to the Novorossiysk naval base, and two remained in temporarily occupied Sevastopol.
The ships of this project are designed to fight submarines in the coastal zone, protect naval bases, and escort ships.
In 2018, these ships were upgraded with RBU-6000 Smerch-2 rocket launchers to use new missiles.
More Russian refineries suffered from Falling Debris Syndrome.

Ukrainian drones struck the Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant in Bashkortostan, over 700 miles from Ukraine. The facility, a major hub for refined oil products and synthetic rubber, is now burning. Multiple explosions were confirmed by local authorities.

Overnight, a drone strike hit the Lukoil refinery in Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod, one of Russia’s five largest, processing 340,000 barrels per day. Located 800 km from Ukraine, the facility had already been targeted in previous attacks.

Another ammo dump goes bavovna.
Rylsk is just north of the area in the Kursk region that Ukraine occupied.
The drones will find you. Resistance is futile.

SBU hitting hard near Pokrobvsk: In just one month, CSO "A" units eliminated over 1,500 Russian troops, 39 artillery systems and MLRS, 18 air defense and EW assets. Their tally near Pokrovsk also includes 20 tanks, 62 IFVs, 532 vehicles, nearly 600 positions, and key ammo and fuel depots.

Russians thought they had gotten the best of a Ukrainian drone.

Ukrainian troops targeted a Russian generator with an FPV drone. The first failed to detonate, and the Russians escaped with the generator, leaving a note that read “f**k you.” But the second drone operator wasn’t done. He scanned the nearby forest, found the generator, and their dugout.

An evacuation drone that takes a licking but keeps on ticking.
Ten points if you know the TV commercial with that slogan.
Russians murder two civilians carrying a white flag and their dog. The second person sees the first hit by a drone and makes the sign of the cross, knowing another drone is coming.
WARNING: The video is graphic.
Those anti-tank mines also work well as anti-house mines.

In Pokrovsk, troops of Ukraine’s 79th Air Assault Brigade approached a building occupied by Russian forces and destroyed it with a TM-62M mine. Several Russian soldiers were also captured and eliminated during the operation. Ukrainian forces continue to clear the city block by block.

You can fuck up the enemy with super-expensive, super high-tech weapons. You can also do that with a partisan and a gas can.
Zelenskyy visited troops at the front line near Pokrovsk.

❗️Zelensky visited Ukrainian soldiers in the Pokrovsk direction.
The President discussed with the military the situation on the front line, securing positions, rotations, the development of the drone direction and the implementation of the "18-24" contract program.

After reading many, many threads where Russian soldiers whine about how their commanders are monsters but don’t dare do anything about it, it is refreshing to read about a soldier who finally figures out that he has ammunition and grenades and he doesn’t have to take this shit anymore.

1/ A Russian marine says that his commander, whom he describes as an incompentent drunkard, ordered his unit to march 20 km and attack a Russian-held position, after which all but three of his men were killed. He's now considering a suicide mission to kill his commanders. ⬇️

2/ The man describes himself as a former Wagner Group fighter now serving with the 61st Separate Marine Brigade (military unit 38643). He says that he was fighting with the 2nd assault company near the village of Malynivka, about 14 km east of Pokrovsk.
3/ He is serving under a commander with the call sign 'Omut' ['Whirlpool'], of whom he says: "He's a total drunk. Before [the mission], there was no training, no preparation, no basic instruction. How, what, and why? He was just messing around..."
4/ "We loaded up at night and left. That was the first mistake the command made. The second was when we arrived, they unloaded us, and we walked more than 20 kilometers on foot, with backpacks, with everything we could carry.
5/ "Half of the people just threw away their water and food because they didn't have the strength to walk. We arrived there when we were ordered to advance, and they told me there was an enemy there. In fact, it was our men—the 132nd Brigade."
6/ A subsequent mission went even more disastrously when the men were ordered to advance across an open field strewn with mines. "I realised right away that something was wrong, because when the mortar started firing, I found corpses there. I even have a video of those corpses."
7/ "And where we were hiding from the artillery, everything was just destroyed. And when I jumped in there, I realized that here, that they had just thrown us to the wolves, there are fields all around, there's nowhere to go..."
He made it back and complained to the military prosecutor, an obvious waste of time as well as a bad mistake. His commander tied him to a tree as a sacrifice to Baba Yaga.
15/ "I wouldn't wish this on even my worst enemy. After two days, I gave in. Not only that, I also had a head wound. But when I got out, they gave me a choice: either way, you'll be up front with the guy delivering food [to the front line]."
16/ This, he says, is a suicide mission: "I understand what this means, that no one has ever made it there alive where they are sending me."
17/ Now he is considering what to do – whether to comply with orders or try to kill his commanders, who he says are drunks and drug addicts without combat experience, who don't listen to anything:"Either just go there, wipe them all out. [Or] go to the guys at the front..."
18/ "I have five magazines and 46 grenades. There are tripwires around me, but no one will come near. It will last a long time. There's no point to all this. But I don't want any more deaths. Enough is enough."
Better late than never.
I used to think that this would be the beginning of the end for Russia — mobilizing regular folks instead of just sending convicted murderers, mercenaries, migrants and assorted other expendables to the front.
New opinion — Nah. They’ll all march off for the greater glory of the Motherland.

‼️ Putin signed a law on year-round conscription in Russia: now, instead of two campaigns a year, mobilization will last from January 1 to December 31, — Russian media
⚠️ Putin also signed law on conscription of reservists — they will be involved in the protection of critically important facilities.

This was clearly a legit target — that panda might have been armed.
And that ambulance might have been hiding a rocket launcher.
Putin reaches back 413 years into history for an example of Russia defending itself. It’s so long ago that Keith Richards hadn’t yet mastered the guitar.
I had no idea what the fuck he is talking about, so I looked it up. It seems that in 1612 during the Polish-Russian War of 1609-1618 Russian forces ousted the Poles from Moscow and a year later they created the Romanov Dynasty.
Where do they come up with this stupid shit?
Another 840 Russians plus five tanks.
Should have stayed home with his grandkids.
Russia now has jet-powered glide bombs.

Russia has begun serial production of modular guided air bombs with jet engines (KMPB), with a range of up to 200 km, Ukraine’s GUR reports. This allows Russian aircraft to strike targets without entering the reach of Ukrainian air defenses.

I would make a joke about how this reflects on Russian society, but this story could just as easily happen in America.
Russia has looted everything that isn’t nailed down, including art out of museums, so it wouldn’t surprise me if they try to load these on trucks and take them to Moscow.
Ukrainian cultural authorities have accelerated efforts to remove and protect centuries-old stone statues known as "Babas" or "Polovtsian figures" as Russian forces push deeper into the country’s east, Mundo América reported on November 4.
The emergency operation, centered in the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions, involves cooperation between the Dnipro National Historical Museum and Ukrainian army units. The aim is to prevent the looting or destruction of these relics, which are considered a vital link to Ukraine’s origins.
“These operations are carried out under constant threat from Russian drones and artillery,” said historian Yurii Fanihin, a collaborator with the National History Museum of Dnipro.
