Update #2: Guys, thank you so much! Please keep sharing and reccing — we’ve got a helluva start, let’s keep the momentum going!
I wanted to share this quickly from G2geek, who is now buried in work-stuff:
Hi y'all - Major thanks to everyone so far for contributions to the project, and, equally importantly, for your moral support at a time when solidarity counts for everything. Feel free to link to this story elsewhere where it's relevant, share it, and help keep it on the rec list.
What you are doing makes all the difference in what we can do. Thank you again for making us that much stronger.
BTW, every penny donated thru Ko-Fi goes straight to G2geek and the Collective Analytics team, no platform fees! Just wanted to let you know that ;-)
Also, a few folks have had additional questions about the cryptography app — I, novice that I am to such things, had asked G2G why we couldn’t share more details, too! His answer to me kinda woke me up quick to the reality of the arena he’s operating in (he gave me permission to share it):
Sorry to be cagey about some of the details but we've had some major work stolen half a dozen times in the past few years, so we have to be careful. The software will be released open-source so it can be vetted, and we'll post links to some very layperson-accessible articles summarizing the mathematical proof.
I hope this helps :-) Even not knowing a damn thing about the field myself, I do recognize and am familiar with quite a few of the users stepping up to support and vouch for G2geek’s — and all the team’s — efforts.
Thank you so much, everyone! Let’s keep pushing to make this happen!!!

Update #1: Thank you for the support, DKers, and keep those recs coming! Visibility is crucial to helping G2geek & co accomplish this project.
I wanted to share, with permission, this comment from metzomagic, whose extensive expertise in coding/IT some of you may be familiar with:
I would like to endorse G2G’s effort. He has briefed me on the particulars. I do not stand to benefit in any way from this project, and I have reviewed the external validation of his ideas. I am satisfied that the end result of his team’s endeavors will be resistant to all known forms of decryption, even quantum decryption.
Also, Bob Guyer did an excellent job summarizing why this project is so critically important:
We need this to protect and enable secure communications for our resistance to the authoritarian takeover of our government.
[...] This initiative can give us a way to counter the overwhelming advantage of big capital to shut us down and amplify communications that hurt our progressive objectives. Finding this [funding] from grass roots is important because when big capital gets control of this it can easily be influenced to serve the needs of the economic elites.
Please, folks, rec and share this diary, and donate what you can!
Finally, everybody to whom I haven’t yet posted a proper thank-you: I am researching something quickly — I will catch up on thank yous as soon as I get back!
The Diary:
We are getting hit with so much shit these days, it’s easy to feel powerless, to have no idea what to do or how to fight back — and those who are fighting back are likely more at risk now than at any time in the past seventy-five years.
It’s frustrating. And infuriating. And at the same time just increases my respect for the ones who are out there, quietly fighting in the shadows. No recognition, no applause, often not even a paycheck.
And that’s why I’m here right now, writing this.
*****
G2geek and the people with him have been working on any number of issues: gathering sensitive intel and evidence that has been used successfully in prosecutions; developing tactics to combat the explosive growth of propaganda and disinformation in the US; creating new secure communication methods in this age of total communications capture. And that’s just the tip of the spear.
So far the group has been almost entirely self-funded. They have literally been giving their all, 24/7, using their time, talents, skills, and savings to strike back against the hostile countries and violent extremists and organizations that are trying to dismantle our democracy and leave our nation in tatters.
I don’t know about you, but I am proud to be sharing a platform with them. They are truly fighting the good fight, on a level that very few of us can.
But after years of going it alone, covering the cost of their endeavors from their own pockets, those pockets are running desperately dry. One member is literally days away from eviction. Three others are close to that edge, and have dependent family members. G2geek has been scraping together rent and food money for the crew wherever he can. They have been working nonstop on a project which should provide a significant flow of income for their continuing efforts (and I’m going to hit G2geek up for an explanation of that — it’s way above my pay grade, lol!), but that project is still two to three months away from rollout.
And in the meantime, they are desperate. They really, really need our help.
Good guys must be vigilant
(the below is from G2geek)
'With the current purges of agencies and insertion of ideological extremists in key positions, coupled with the collaboration of the major online platforms, we have to assume the worst re. the types and degrees of surveillance that will be brought to bear against dissent, opposition, and resistance. New and secure forms of cryptography are desperately needed to protect communication from politically-motivated government surveillance.
We have good reason to believe that all of the common encryption apps such as PGP and GPG, not to mention the 'end-to-end' encryption used by certain well-known providers, have been successfully cryptanalysed ('broken'), so we are developing new encryption tools for data and voice.
The tools we are developing are based on an algorithm and method that have a mathematical proof of security against quantum cryptanalysis. We will make the software freely available as open-source downloads with optional donation.
That is all I can share publicly at this time, but further details can be made available to vetted individuals who are willing to offer significant support to our efforts.'
G2geek has a Ko-fi page set up, as the simplest and most secure way to send donations:
Please note, donations through Ko-Fi are not tax deductible. If you’re in a position to make a truly massive donation (like, 5 or 6 figures massive) there may be a way to make tax-deductible happen — please contact G2geek directly via Kosmail to discuss it.
It costs roughly a thousand bucks a day to keep the whole crew afloat, even with some team members completely volunteering their time. Realistically, it will take over $90k to carry them safely till the crypto app drops (hello, deep-pocketed DKers!!!), but truly, they need anything we can give, like yesterday, just to keep their members housed and fed and working.

Every one of G2geek’s team is sticking their necks out with what they are doing, working on projects that directly combat the hostile takeover of our country, projects that could easily get them targeted in the current environment. This is what patriotism looks like, folks.
Please, let’s support them.
While you’re there, click the gray “Follow me for updates” button for earliest news of the app launch! And please republish to your DK groups if you can :-)
Good guys must work together!
