Congresswoman Gwen Moore, elected to Wisconsin's 4th Congressional District in 2004, is the first and only Black person to represent Wisconsin in the US Congress and the first woman to represent the district. During her tenure, she has been the primary sponsor of 11 bills enacted into law and during the 119th Congress she has already sponsored or cosponsored 40 bills. Rep. Moore is a fierce champion of women, of low-income workers, students and children of low-income families, of the LGBTQ community, of the “voiceless”. Congresswoman Gwen Moore serves on the powerful Ways and Means Committee.
