Ukrainian special forces take out a building behind Russian lines. The video doesn’t say where this took place.
x
Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces (SSO) eliminated 23 Russian soldiers during a cleanup of an industrial building behind enemy lines. Using drone reconnaissance, they identified Russian positions, cleared the building, and held their ground for 48 hours. The SSO group withdrew safely.

Pretty good shooting from 10 km away in a blizzard.

If they don’t want to be bombed, they should wear signs identifying themselves as press instead of dressed in full combat gear.
That’s what they get for allowing careless smokers in the plant.

A fire in Voronezh destroyed two Russian R-330Zh "Zhitel" electronic warfare systems overnight on Jan 27-28, 2025. The systems were at the "Protek" plant, where they were produced. Russia planned to send them to the war in Ukraine, but the fire had other plans.

Looks like all 6.6 million tons are burning.
The attack on the refinery involved a swarm of 90 drones.
x
An explosive night in Russia: Ukrainian drones attacked the Ilsky oil refinery in Krasnodar Krai. The facility produced 6.5M tons of oil annually. Reports say 90 UAVs & a Neptune missile were involved. Russian officials deny refinery hits but mention damaged homes.

Shame about your oil pumping station.
x
Last night, the Kropotkinskaya oil pumping station in Russia, part of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), was attacked by 7 drones, disrupting operations. The station has been taken offline, and oil transport is now at reduced capacity.

In addition to the Ilsky refinery, the Kropotkinskaya oil pumping station, located in the same region, was also put out of operation. This station is the largest facility in the Caspian Pipeline Consortium, which is a key route for exporting oil from Kazakhstan.

Another 1,530 Russians, 16 tanks, 149 other vehicles and 52 armored vehicles.
This is the first example (that I’ve seen) of Ukraine setting up a tiger pit — a hole filled with sharpened sticks and covered with camp so that Russians might fall in and be impaled.
Easy question.
Surrender and live. Resist and get droned.
The Russians are getting used to their new delivery vehicles.
For two months we asked the commander of the 247th airborne assault regiment for a quad bike or at least
a motorcycle so that we could quickly deliver ammunition and food to the boys at their positions.
For two months he promised: "Everything will be the best!"
In the end they sent us... a donkey.
Now we are not just an airborne assault regiment. Now we are airborne assault donkeys.
A new generation combat transport. Slow, stubborn, but they say it eats less than our command.
Extortion by any other name smells as rancid.
The terms of the contract amount to the US economic colonisation of Ukraine, in legal perpetuity. It implies a burden of reparations that cannot possibly be achieved. The document has caused consternation and panic in Kyiv.
The US will take 50% of recurring revenues received by Ukraine from extraction of resources, and 50% of the financial value of “all new licences issued to third parties” for the future monetisation of resources.“That clause means ‘pay us first, and then feed your children’,” said one source.

Donald Trump’s demand for a $500bn (£400bn) “payback” from Ukraine goes far beyond US control over the country’s critical minerals.

🤡 Russia's UN permanent representative Nebenzya claims Ukraine has "irreversibly lost" Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson & Zaporizhzhia. He added that the war’s "hot phase" may soon end, insists EU & UK can’t be part of future Ukraine deals and demands Ukraine to be neutral & demilitarized.

Trump is going to get rolled before this is over. He’d agree to withdraw from Alaska.
x
This is exactly why Europe (the EU and the UK) must bypass the US with a counterproposal or otherwise show commitment to Ukraine, Moldova, and the Baltics. The Trump administration must understand that if it agrees to this, it directly undermines EU security interests. 1/4

Unpleasant? It’s easy to give away someone else’s territory.

Turkey's Foreign Minister Fidan, in a comment to TRT World, stated that Turkey is ready to play any role to promote peace in Ukraine and reconstruction of the country. However, Ankara does not rule out the acceptance of "unpleasant" decisions regarding territories.

This isn’t a negotiating team. It’s a dumpster fire.
And finally, here is a YouTube video of a short film called “Rock, Paper, Scissors” about a Ukrainian who tries to defend his field hospital unit against a Russian assault team of eight.
