The NFL is going to remove the phrase “End Racism,” from the end zone areas of the field for the Super Bowl. Probably means it won’t be on the back of the players helmets, either. They have been there since 2021.
So does this mean the NFL doesn’t want to end racism anymore? So does this mean they want racism to continue? Would Roger Goodell actually want racism to grow?
I understand they are taking it down so as to not risk the ire of Herr Trumpenfluffer and that Roger Goodell is a billionaire booklicker for a living and can’t help himself. I’m just wondering what their actual stance is with respect to racism. I’m guessing the league’s players, 53% of which are African-American, are going to want to know, too. Their stance was pretty clear before. It was right there on the field. End Racism. Now, you have to wonder what else we’re missing, like, I don’t know, that the Rooney Rule isn’t working very well?
