It is physically demanding to mount fierce resistance like this. It is also emotionally draining, since these senators know they do not possess enough votes to alter the ultimate outcome for this candidate.
Senators have to continue their regular workload in addition to this delay tactic. Hard and thankless work. Plenty of criticism and little praise.
As a voter, I appreciate and applaud your efforts. Please, please, please, keep it up. Until the Trump/Musk administration starts following the rules and traditions of our government, as well as the laws of our country, please use every tool at your disposal to stall and delay and obstruct these nefarious doings.
And when it comes to the budget in a few weeks, stand strong. Force them to do it all on their own. No deals. Period. Start that process now. Communicate to the country that the GOP does not govern well, and that even though they have enough votes to pass a budget without a single Democrat , they will fail to get it done. Start blaming them now.
And, if you senators persist in the stall and delay tactics, we the voters will keep calling our representatives in Congress , especially the Republican ones ( this writer has two GOP senators and a GOP Congressman ,who are all hearing from me daily ) to express our thoughts. Persistence pays off.
