Just yesterday, I wrote Trump Tries to Rescue White South Afrikaners, and before that, South African Justice Begins. It's all about what Donald Trump is seeing as a land grab of white people's property by Black people.
Trump put out an executive order on Feb.7th titled: "Addressing Egregious Actions of the Republic of South Africa," which accused South Africa of expropriating Afrikaner lands as theft. He also immediately cut off any U.S. aid to the country, forgetting that he already had shut down USAID.
To Donald, anything that does not bow down to his immediate demands requires additional effort on his part. The new law that went into effect a week ago is already going to be challenged in the courts in South Africa. Nobody's land is going to be stolen.
When Trump offered to resettle Afrikaner refugees in America, the Afrikaners all said "no thanks."
So things are just fine all by themselves in South Africa. That did not stop Donald from sticking his nose in again.
No, Donald. South Africa is not confiscating land. The proper term is expropriating land. The definition of which is written into their constitution. The new law makes basically a minor change to allow land to be expropriated after negotiations for the property, with compensation, fails because of sheer ornery-ness.
But according to Donald, South Africa is "treating certain classes of people VERY BADLY." Certain classes, of course, means white people. Can't have the white people that stole the land from the Black people ever be oppressed, when that's only in your mind.
"Radical Left Media doesn't want to so much as mention." What about the BBC, AP News, CNN, TIME Magazine, Al Jazeera, and NPR? They all have articles on this subject, right now, and since the law was first passed.
"A massive of Human Rights VIOLATION is happening, for all to see." The massive human rights violation is the history of the country with apartheid. Trump once compared himself to Nelson Mandela, and people got really upset about that, rightly so. If he wants to maintain just that dishonor, he should shut up.
The United States won't stand for it--- We will act." Trump already forgets that he has already withdrawn U.S. aid by USAID. He has already acted.
"Also, because of this, I will be cutting off all aid to South Africa until further notice!" Trump's short-term and long-term memory have taken a dive. He can't remember one rant to the next.
I don't think Trump has ever gotten so upset about a law in another country. We can easily understand why Trump is so upset. To him, the whole country is DEI. Blacks are being given privilege. They're getting it just because they're Black. Well, that's partially true. And it needs to happen because apartheid created a massive wealth and land gap.
If Trump could get away with it, he'd be telling South Africa to change the name of Cape of Good Hope to Cape of Good MAGA.
The whole population of South Afica, both white and Black, have told Donald to take a hike. But, Trump won't listen. Does he ever?
