This is a longshot but it’s worth fighting to flip these two open seats from red to blue.
In a nutshell, since the 2024 election, Republican Matt Gaetz of FL-01 resigned after winning re-election due to an ongoing sex scandal involving numerous sordid details with underage girl(s). You know it had to be really bad to get any Republican to resign over a sex scandal.
In addition, Trump appointed the Republican in FL-06 to some cabinet position which opened up this seat. These are both heavily red districts and our only chance of flipping them is to get more citizens to register to vote by March 1. It’s a heavy lift but not impossible if we all work together.
Above is a map with the major population centers in each district listed to help orient folks geographically to where this is in Florida.
There is a woman on TikTok who is spearheading the drive to action. She goes by the handle, Zee Runs Campaigns.
Follow her. She is inspiring.
Her organization is called www.nationalgroundgame.com and she is driving all volunteers and resources to this effort. From canvassing to postcards support is flooding in from all over the country to try our best to flip these seats.
(There is also an open seat in NY to replace Republican Elise Stefanik but no election date is set in NY and Trump may rescind her cabinet appointment so her seat doesn’t vacate. So, for now our focus is on Florida Districts 1 and 6.)
