Elon musk and his cronies wish to destroy foreign aid to fit their own political agenda of social Darwinism and destroy the last vestiges of humanitarian relief. Elon Musk himself has said that Empathy is a sin and weakness, one sharp contrast to that of Soviet Russia, in which all were sacrificed upon the altar of the collective society, but all sacrifices were meaningless without a greater purpose. To cut foreign aid is nothing less than stupid, to cut it for tax cuts is barbaric. We do not face an enemy like Nazi Germany, we are not under massive economic turmoil, or at least we weren’t until Elon Musk seized power. But he seeks to destroy our foreign relations, our diplomatic links, throttling the access of Starlink to nations that disobey his will, attacking foreign leaders for daring to question him. He seeks to serve one purpose, himself. If Joseph Stalin and Elon Musk swapped places, we would hardly know the difference. Both seeked only to enrich themselves off the backs of everyone, one just had a different opportunity to do it. Elon Musk would sell his soul to the devil, if it meant he could scrap up one more inch of power, he would sell Ukraine to Russia and China if it meant he could consolidate his gains further. He is nothing if not an opportunist and a tyrant who must be stopped.
A new iron firewall has descended upon the world—not a curtain of steel and secrecy, but a digital and ideological barrier that threatens to destroy foreign aid as we know it. The question now is whether the world will recognize this shift before it is too late, or whether we will wake up to find that the lifelines of global assistance have been severed, one Starlink signal at a time.
Please tell your Members of Congress to support humanitarian aid. You can find their name and phone number here.
The U.S. foreign aid freeze has forced many frontline organizations to halt operations, impacting millions globally. Without HIV/AIDS treatment provided by the US, 6 million people could die over the next four years. Unlock Aid is raising an emergency fund with no overhead to help sustainable organizations resume their work. Please consider donating.
