Surprise, surprise: DJT is coming for the libraries.

It had to happen.  Given how DJT feels about literacy…

DJT has just signed an executive order targeting the Institute of Museum and Library Services.  This is the Federal agency which is in charge of distributing Congressionally-approved funds to both state libraries, and to recipients of grants for libraries, archive programs, and museums.  The idea is to slash Federal funding for America’s libraries and other vital cultural institutions, by reducing the IMLS “to its statutory functions.”
