Why talk about it now? Because he claims to have won the Golf Club Championship at his own course.
If he's playing golf, he can't mangle the government at the same time. There is a benefit to us. He could always get run over by a golf cart.
"...probably my last..." What do we read into that? Has his doctor told him he's dying? Is he going to give up golf and work more? That's even worse. Does he know that people won't put up with his cheating because they know now how he does it?
"Such a great honor!" It's like "Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me, me, me, me..."
"The Awards dinner is tonight at the Club." Which club, Mar-a-Lago? Or the clubhouse at the course? Be more specific.
"...all the many fantastic golfers." If there were fantastic golfers, how come you won?
"...that participated at the even." "T". You're missing the "T". Hey, it's a golf course. Of course you can miss the tee. Or is he saying it was done on an even playing field? Like he didn't cheat?
"Such fun!" Only for you Donald. The rest of us went home for a beer. You don't drink, so you don't know about that.
Trump winning a golf tournament is like playing with a marked deck of cards. You can't lose. If somebody beat you, you'd be like the Queen of Hearts saying, "Off with their heads!"
