Gay Valimont and Josh Weil in FL, Blake Gendebien in NY.
Soon to be demonized as Homosexual Valimont. /s
The race for Florida’s First will impact the nation. Don’t sit this election out! The American people are counting on us and counting on Gay Valimont.
Gay Valimont tells supporters she's raised $6.7 million to flip Matt Gaetz seat blue
[Florida state CFO] Jimmy Patronis started this race with $10 million in his pocket, and we know that if he figures out that we're about to destroy him, he's going to spend that money.
Valimont lost to Gaetz last time by 32 points. Dems have been doing 20 points better this year, but she still needs something special to win.
He has raised over $1 million so far for this election against State Senator Randy Fine.
Josh Weil Wins Democratic Primary For Congress in FL-06
Josh Weil, a public educator and single dad, won a resounding victory in the Democratic Primary for Florida’s Sixth Congressional District.
Weil dominates Randy Fine in grassroots funding. Fine has reported raising over 425k, with huge contributions from corporations and PACs but less than $7,000 from grassroots contributors. In contrast, Josh Weil has raised over 900k to date, fueled by the grassroots and all without a single dollar from corporate PACs.
Weil has built a powerful grassroots campaign focused on protecting funding for local schools, strengthening Social Security, expanding access to high-quality, affordable healthcare, and delivering economic relief for Floridians. Weil enters the general election with significant momentum and will have the resources to compete and win, having already raised well over half a million dollars in this important campaign.
I’m a husband, father of three boys, second-generation dairy farmer, small business owner, and served as Vice Chair of the Cooperative Board of Agri-Mark. I was born and raised on a farm in the North Country and I’ve been deeply rooted in this community my whole life – as a JV basketball coach, Lisbon Central School Board Member, and founder of a non-profit supporting kids with pediatric cancer and their families.
Democratic Congressional candidate under fire for 2013 comments
Blake Gendebien did an interview 12 years ago with Traditional Arts in Upstate New York, also known as TAUNY.
“It’s hard to find a [farm worker] that does not have domestic abuse problems, alcohol problems,” said Gendebien.
Gendebien saying local workers have “custody battles and child support battles” and they “show up late and drink too much.”
Republicans also take issue with what Gendebien said about corrections officers.
“Corrections officers, who you probably know, they don’t have much self-worth in their jobs as corrections officers,” he said in the interview.
It is for these reasons Republicans say “Democrats didn’t do their homework when they selected Blake Gendebien and his catastrophic statements.”
Gendebien said, “I take it as a badge of honor to be attacked by career politicians because they know I’ll be an independent voice for the North Country.
Republicans have not yet named their candidate for this race, so we have no polling.
Regular Good News
With a bit of bad news for them.
On a whim, doctoral student Mya Le Thai coated a set of gold nanowires in manganese dioxide and a Plexiglas-like electrolyte gel. She said, 'this thing has been cycling 10,000 cycles and it's still going.' This discovery is mind-blowing because the average laptop battery lasts 300 to 500 charge cycles. The nanobattery developed at UCI made it though 200,000 cycles in three months. That would extend the life of the average laptop battery by about 400 years.

A paper in Nature Astronomy presents a white dwarf–M dwarf binary that emits minute-duration radio pulses with a 2-hour periodicity. The period of the radio pulses is linked to the orbital period of the binary, rather than the rotation period of the stellar components. 🧪 🔭
