Musk's Starship suffers another RUD

While we were not watching, SpaceX Starship test flight 8 put on another unwanted light show over the Caribbean, as Starship suffered another RUD (Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly) and exploded into fiery smithereens all over the region between Florida and the Bahamas.

Commercial aircraft were diverted around the area, residents ducked for cover.

Sorry, we are out of thoughts and prayers for Starship.

No, that is not an alien invasion.

OTOH, the European Ariane 6 rocket had a very successful first commercial launch from Kourou, French Guiana, earlier today. It deployed the CSO-3 satellite, a high-resolution optical imaging satellite for the French military, into a Sun Synchronous orbit at 800 km altitude.

No RUD, no light show, just this fabulous perfectly timed aerial pic of the launch taken by the pilot in one of the three Dassault Rafale fighter jets of the French Air Force, patrolling the area.
