Happy Friday! Bit was off work yesterday, so we went for groceries then. Today I am staying home and mostly resting, barring something odd happening. Pups are growing. Grass is growing, and I’m getting by like usual.
In the picture above, Hedwig is sitting up, Mouse is the big white and black pup in front. Aiden is behind Hedwig, Media is behind the box. Mouse’s head is on Mongo, Cocoa is beneath Mongo, and Molly is the black pup in the box.
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!

Bit found this last Saturday, it brings her joy.
While we were out shopping last week, Bit found this colorful iguana on sale. She hugged it and carried it around the store until we checked out LOL. She really loves this thing, and plans on buying other yard ornaments in a similar color scheme.
She also fell in love with a human sized flamingo, but that was $110 so that stayed in the store. Plus we were walking, so there was no way to get it home. The iguana is about 2 feet long and fit in a bag on the back of the wheelchair. Though it’s feet poked through the plastic bag and we had to shift it into the reusable bag and shift other things into the plastic bag.
It was a great day out for us, and we hit a lot of stores. I picked up new slippers and step-in sneakers at Ross, less than $24 for both of them. Bit got a new work shirt, which she needed. She only had one short sleeve work shirt. And it’s getting hot here already.
Stewie and his Jolly ball (and my new slippers LOL)
We also got Stewie this Jolly ball, which he really loves. It’s an indoor/outdoor ball, has a big handle on one side (that’s in his mouth), and, it has a two way valve; if he chomps down on it, it partially deflates, and when he lets go it inflates again. He has a blast with it. It’s very easy for us to kick and toss as well. His other balls are hand balls, and he hasn’t been able to chew those up at all either. So I think we found some winners.
If he gets adopted his balls go with him. We’ll get a new Jolly ball for the others, they don’t seem interested in the hand balls.
The Humane society called on Wednesday and said someone was interested in him, and I sent in more pics, as well as an update on how he is doing with commands and such.
I haven’t heard anything back since then, so we’ll see what happens.
Fenna and littles
Fenna loves playing with the littles, and I suspect she’s going to really miss them when they go to be adopted. She plays with them, sleeps with them, and is essentially a second mom to them.
Rhenn and Stewie play with them through the pen fence and give them kisses, but they jump around too much to be loose in the puppy pen. Fenna, however, is very nurturing.
They’ll be leaving us in just over 2 weeks, so we’ll see how she is after that.
