Dear oppression aspiring white people
This particular take is brought to you courtesy of the rantings of Nick Fuentes. According to the white supremacist, Blacks folks got it easy, and we are cry babies who cannot have an intelligent conversation about race. And the torch carrier is “done” he says white people are done with white guilt. Ref. rant about Jason Whitlock.
A certain portion of the white demographic like Nick Fuentes, in the US has latched on to a couple of talking points, such as “white oppression” and “reverse racism”. While it’s an interesting take, me thinks they haven’t fully grasped what oppression or racism means.
To them, being oppressed simply means they are no longer the heroes of every story, the star of every movie, the shoo-in for a position, the automatic center of attention and mostly that they are no longer given a free pass for words and actions that we all find distasteful, racist, bigoted or other. That’s their idea of oppression. In other words they view being rebuked as being oppressed. Dear lord have mercy. That’s like a child claiming starvation because you deny them a 10th plate of food.
Never once have these people hesitated when in trouble, accident, mental breakdown of a family member, scary noises, domestic disturbance… never have they hesitated to pick up their phones and call the cops, heck they are so certain they will not become the victims of being shot simply for being in trouble, they even use that privilege to call cops on other folks just going about their daily life even 9 year old girls spraying trees.
Never have any of them had to take down any visual decorations including pictures and cultural artifacts, calling in white friends to pretend to own their own house, in order for their house values not to be lowered. Never have they been turned down by banks for loans despite having credentials up the whazoo. You have not once been told to “go back to your country”.
Don’t think most of them have ever walked up to their houses, desk, place of business school and been confronted with a noose…received a text telling them to report to a plantation, a little note threatening death to all N*, a little burnt cross… a swastika… or seen the same etched on the side of a gun or riffle.
How many have had to talk with their kids telling them not to ring doorbells anymore? Not to stop to help strangers? Not to have lemonade stands or spray for bugs in the yard? Refuse to buy them a toy gun? For fear of them ending up dead?
No white people, you are not being oppressed no matter what you think. Your lives are mostly free from the daily deluge of aggressions that Black folks have to contend and navigate through each day. And it is really takes some gall to stare us in the face and tell us YOU are tired, because over the last decade or so the pressure for you to stop being racist has grown, while we’ve been enduring your actions for centuries. You’re tired? You have no idea how exhausted we are with you.
No white people, you are mad that you were told you can’t be rude racists and obnoxious bigots, without repercussions. You believe the rest of us should just let you have the “free speech” to harass us, and we shouldn’t use “free speech” to fight back. You believe you should be allowed to terrorize others because you are white and the rest of us are not “real Americans”.
So no Nick Fuentes, you are not being oppressed, you are being held accountable to your words and actions for once in your life and you don’t like it.
