Kilmar Abrego Garcia and due process for all
Mr. Garcia is the very public face of too many individuals who were sent to an atrocious prison in El Salvador without having their case heard by any judge in this country. That is against the law. EVERYONE has a right to a hearing about their case and judges decide who gets deported. That process exists to protect all of us. As an aside, he wasn’t even deported. He and the others were imprisoned in a 3rd country.
Sen. Murphy explains the key details.
Sen. Van Hollen who represents the family shares his plan.

I’m about to board my flight to El Salvador, where I hope to meet with senior government officials to discuss the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia.
I also hope to see Kilmar and check on his condition — and remind him that we won’t stop fighting until he’s home.

Even his union is calling for his return.

The public is demanding his return, too.

Shortages in our health care workforce mean longer hospital stays, delayed treatments, and worse outcomes for patients.
It was great to visit Bayhealth in Dover and hear about how they’re working to address these shortages here in central Delaware.

Protests and protest signs!
My sister in law, Janesmom has this to report from their road trip. “The trump fan signs are fewer than they used to be!” She also said that they saw a lone protester on a small 2 lane highway in the Sacramento River delta area, which is a rural area holding a sign that said, “We have no king”. That warmed her heart right up. Unfortunately she wasn’t able to get a picture, but they gave him lots of honks and waves.
She’s here visiting me and we did a special edition of my weekly protest on Wednesday. We had 211 positive responses and 11 negative in 1 hour. We even had a friendly wave from a police officer :)
