Make Attorneys Get Attorneys. Well, Letitia James got Abbe Lowell, who you might remember defending Hunter Biden. He also did work for Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner.
New information put together by Lowell is in a 33 page document you can read online at The New York Times. Lowell's cover letter rips apart the claim that Letitia James had declared the Norfolk, Virginia property as her prime residence. James was simply helping her niece, Shamice Thompson-Hairston buy the property.
After Lowell's letter are emails telling the mortgage company that the house would NOT be her primary residence. The loan officer acknowledged the same, understanding that Shamice would be the sole occupant. Everything tied up neat in a bow. No real estate fraud. James saw the primary residence mistake and corrected it. Director Pulte, of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, and Chairman of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, is a shill for Trump just installed in the middle of March. Lowell points out his egregious mistakes.
One email corrected the record.
In regards to the 4/5 occupancy New York brownstone in Brooklyn, Lowell notes that it has been listed as a 4 unit property since she bought it. Pulte cherry-picked a 24 year old certificate of occupancy, where all the other documents from purchase on list it as a 4 unit.
The Queens property James father bought, the spousal accreditation was corrected to list Letitia as his daughter. The actual 1983 deed shows this. Again, Director Pulte is ignoring the correcting documents in each case.
As Abbe Lowell says in his cover letter, this is an obvious attempt at retribution at Letitia James. He takes 3 pages listing all the things Trump said and the revenge he promised.
Besides looking at it online, you can download the 33 page PDF here.
Director Pulte believed, or wanted to believe, media reports and made a criminal referral to the DOJ. Lowell's letter and documentation is directed to Pam Bondi.
Days after Pulte's referral, Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller declared her guilty of "multiple, significant, serial criminal violations." Grounds for malicious defamation right there. She could still go after Trump, but she just wants to collect what must be now $500 million Trump owes the state of New York.
The end of Lowell's letter to Bondi states:
"We would expect a quick response confirming that this referral matter has been closed."
I was too quick to defend her originally, without documentation, but Trump's continued personal attacks on James and his reposts of people declaring her guilty led me to believe it was a setup.
The documentation is there. There is no fraud on all three properties, you can look at the documents yourself.
Abbe Lowell rests his case.
