Trump admits he was lying about the tariffs

This one will be short and sweet. I haven’t seen it mentioned yet, but by time I’m finished typing it, there will probably be dozens of versions out there.

How may times has the orange-masked icon of mendacity told us that foreign countries will be paying the tariffs? Hundreds? Thousands? He’s been saying it for ten years.

If that’s the case, why the fuck should Walmart have to eat the tariffs?

I wanted to top this article with an appropriate shot of the President. I told my photo editor, who is usually very capable, that I wanted him and his team to find a shot of the President telling a lie.

Several hours later, my photo editor, a big, muscular, masculine man, came back to me with tears in his eyes. “Captain,” he said, “we couldn’t do it.” 

I looked at him incredulously. I said, “you mean you couldn’t find a picture of the president lying?”

He said, “Oh no, we found tens of thousands of them. Every time Trump opens his mouth he’s lying. We just couldn’t agree on any sensible method of selecting one.
