She stopped treating patients, for what we don't know, in January of 2024, as well as placing her medical license on inactive staus. She's as qualified for this job as RFK Jr. is for Secretary of Health and Human Services. Which is to say, not.
To be the Surgeon General of the United States, you should have a lot of medical experience, have written peer-reviewed papers, and have done medical research. She stopped her medical residency at ago 30. She's 37 years old now.
She's been on Tucker Carlson and Joe Rogan's podcasts. She was on Trump's campaign shortlist for FDA director. Another job that needs real qualifications.
"Casey has impeccable 'MAHA' credentials..." She'll be working with RFK Jr. on Make America Healthy Again. Doesn't that make you feel secure? I'm surprised she's not a blond. That's how we got Pam Bondi and Karoline Leavitt.
"... to ensure a successful implementation of our Agenda..." I really don't like the word "agenda" coming out of Trump's mouth. It always means bad things with him.
"Chronic Disease Epidemic." He must be talking about people born without brains, like himself.
"Her academic achievements, together with her life's work, are outstanding."
I can't find any academic achievements. Just that she got a Doctor of Medicine degree from Stanford Medical School. Her only qualification seem to be her and her brother being advisers to RFK Jr.'s failed presidential campaign and got RFK to endorse Trump. Her life's work is selling supplements, just like Alex Jones.
She is a believer of functional medicine, an alternative medicine that is described as pseudoscience and quackery.
"Dr. Casey Means as the potential to be one of the finest Surgeon Generals in United States History."
I'm having a real problem with that description. Especially the "in history" part.
"Secretary Kennedy looks forward to working with Dr Janette Nesheiwat in another capacity at HHS."
Nesheiwat had been waiting for months to be confirmed as Surgeon General. She was going to have her hearing Thursday. That's not going to happen now.
"Thank you for your attention to this matter."
Well, you can bet we're going to be paying attention to it now. I'm not saying anything wrong about her being a woman, or too young. You can just go based on the information available on her and know that there are no qualifications she meets. The ones that she does have are all negative. We've already got one pseudoscientific agency head with RFK. We don't need another one.
One interesting thing about being the Surgeon General, is that you get to wear a special uniform, and you automatically have the rank of Vice Admiral.
I'm sorry, but she looks to be another in a line of completely unqualified individuals that Trump has named to be secretaries in the cabinet and other positions. I almost thought Marco Rubio was going to work out. But he seems to have been brainwashed by Trump, and now speaks like a MAGA faithful. And he's the only one. The only one that had any kind of qualifications.
Casey's at bat, but I think we just struck out.
