Donald is on an absolutely crazy anti-MSNBC track today. He was up early to watch Morning Joe with Joe and Jonathan Lemire.
It was about the "'TINY' tax increase for the RICH" he posted about earlier this morning. A CNBC commentator called Trump's Truth Social posts a "jump ball." With renegotiating trade deals, less tariff money, that means there's a real problem with government income. Where is it going to come from now? The only answer is to tax the rich, and Stephanie said there was no way that was going to happen.
Just in case you missed Trump's post:
Maybe we should read those lips. He thinks one thing, says another. Speaks the opposite and says he never said it. George Bush the Elder. Sounds like a Lord of the Rings character.
Stephanie: "He has spent the last two and half months making the wealthy people even wealthier. Look what he's done in crypto. Look at his number one home boy Elon Musk. And many people in Donald Trump's base don't like it. And many of those people are going 'am I going to feel this inflationary squeeze from a president who says buy less pencils and get two dolls?' So he's putting on a show right now saying 'I'm right here for you guys. We're going to tax the rich. We're going to close the carried interest loophole.' Joe, if this administration closes the carried interest loophole, I will dust off my high school cheerleader uniform and put on a show on this hour. There is no chance this is happening, it's all just a show. This isn't going to move one inch."
Stephanie Ruhle on Morning Joe at MSNBC.
One little part of the whole Morning Joe show made Trump go livid.
"I just watched an exhausted, highly neurotic Stephanie Ruhle spew LIES about Tariffs."
She talked about "Donny Pencils Two Dolls" but it was all about taxing the rich.
"... in order to not give me the Victory that they all see coming."
There was an old TV show called "Victory at Sea," but we don't see a victory coming at all. This is the worst unforced failure, causing an economic disaster, the world has ever seen.
"Few people know Stephanie Ruhle, but I do, and she doesn't have what it takes."
He knows Stephanie Ruhle. I hope that isn't biblically. She doesn't have what it takes to do what? She just pinned down your problem to a "T."
And because British Airways just ordered some Boeing airplanes, which will take years to deliver, "We're going to make a fortune with Tariffs." Not.
"... only smart people understand that, and Stephanie was never known as a 'High IQ" person."
That was a bad move. The last person he called being low IQ was Jasmine Crockett, and she ripped him apart about it without even having to mention him.
Then for the second time today, he attacks MSNBC, this time by calling them MSNDC.
"MSNDC has become the voice of the Democrat Party, and they should be treated as a Political Advocate with all the Taxes and Penalties therefrom."
Um, they aren't a 501(c)3. It's a commercial cable channel. A business pays taxes. And it's the Democratic Party, not Democrat Party. Was he just trying to be insulting and failed? No, he's just stupid. If being pro a political party is a crime, what about Fox News, Newsmax, and OAN?
"Their Ratings are terrible, but Brian Roberts and his crew should be forced to TELL THE TRUTH."
If their ratings are terrible, then nobody is watching and you have nothing to fear. Brian Roberts is the Chairman of Comcast. Forced. Are we talking a sodium pentothal cocktail? "To Tell the Truth" was a good panel game show. I bet if no one had ever seen you, and you showed up, and they had to guess your occupation, what would they come up with? Human version of Chester Cheeto? Spokesperson for Minute Maid orange juice? A Halloween pumpkin ready to be carved?
As it is, I look forward to Stephanie Ruhle in her cheerleader costume putting on a show on Morning Joe.
The thing is, since the Republicans are serious about slicing $800 billion from Medicaid (Was $890 in 2023 budget) (Here comes Al Green with his cane!), and $220 billion from SNAP (Must be off. 2023 was $122 billion), they are going to reap the whirlwind if they try. Medicaid can't possibly operate on $90 billion. For probably many people on the SNAP program, that's all they've got to eat. And it doesn't even go as far as it did four months ago. Those people vote. There's a lot more of them than the rich people. The rich can line Republicans pockets and supercharge their campaigns with money, but all the other people don't like being robbed. That's what Donald Trump has already done and promising to do more of the same.
Those articles of impeachment start looking better and better each day.
Donald Trump is an abject failure and threatening to take us down with him. We need some Republicans in both houses to recognize that Trump isn't good for them or their constituents. We need all the Democrats to oppose Trump on everything. All the time. Stand up and be counted.
I still want to see Stephanie in that cheerleading costume. It would be a really good sign that there was some real fairness between taxing the rich and the poor. Maybe, she could even do it to "YMCA."
