Welcome to Street Prophets Sunday Coffee Hour. This is an open thread so grab something to drink and sit a spell and let us know what is new with you.
As you may know I'm owned by a black cat named Pixie. Notice that I don't own the cat she owns me.
Black cats are the last to get adopted. In medieval times they were considered evil. Pure black cats evolved into having at least a little white on them on them to escape persecution. Pixie has a white locket, a white circle on her chest and a white heart on her tummy.
Around Halloween cat owners are warmed to keep their cats inside. Unfortunately there are sick people out there who would injure and kill black cats.
Black cats can be very vocal. Pixie is a chatterbox. She is especially vocal about the weather that for some reason she thinks I can control.
Black cats can be very affectionate. Pixie likes to cuddle and be around me. If I am up she is always at my feet. Of course that means she gets stepped on a lot.
Black cats can be very possessive. I am Pixie's Mommy and no one better forget it or she will loudly tell you what's what. I can't imagine life without her.
