ICE hit with brutal fact check after denying Dodger Stadium visit    

...The Los Angeles Times reported that officials at the baseball field blocked masked Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents from entering the premises after Customs and Border Protection vehicles were spotted around the entrances.

But ICE has categorically denied this report.

"False. We were never there," wrote the X account for the ICE field office in Los Angeles. ICE's main account chimed in, too, saying the same thing word for word.

But many commenters on social media pushed back, pointing out that there was, in fact, photographic evidence they were there.

"I took this at 10:40am outside gate E at dodgers stadium," wrote CalMatters investigative reporter Sergio Olmos, showing an image of CBP vehicles right outside the gate and several heavily uniformed agents standing around.

Further complicating things, the official X account for the Department of Homeland Security posted, "This had nothing to do with the Dodgers. CBP vehicles were in the stadium parking lot very briefly, unrelated to any operation or enforcement."

Can’t even keep their stories consistent!

Dodgers say immigration agents denied entry to Los Angeles stadium

The Los Angeles Dodgers say they blocked federal agents from entering their stadium on Thursday, as protests against immigration enforcement continue in the city.

In a post on social media, the baseball team said "ICE agents came to Dodger Stadium and requested permission to access the parking lots", and were subsequently turned away.

DHS tightens rules for congressional visits to ICE facilities

DHS said that while Congress members have the right to make unannounced visits to detention facilities for oversight, ICE field offices “fall outside” that purview.

… The guidance, dated June 2025, comes after confrontations between Democratic officials and federal agents at detention centers across the country, some of which led to criminal charges.

Under the new protocol, members of Congress are asked to provide notice of an impending visit to any ICE facility at least 72 hours in advance. The request is in addition to existing requirements for office staffers to provide 24 hours’ notice of visits. The guidelines say that while members of Congress have the right to make unannounced visits to detention facilities for the purpose of oversight, ICE field offices “fall outside” those requirements.

The protocol also notes that ICE “retains the sole and unreviewable discretion to deny a request or otherwise cancel, reschedule or terminate a tour or visit” under several circumstances, including if “facility management or other ICE officials deem it appropriate to do so.”

This is illegal, or if it’s not, it SHOULD be! Congress has oversight, and that means inspections when they believe it’s necessary. 72 hours notice gives them LOTS of time to hide things. CALL your Congress members and raise hell over this. More when I can; this is a day I’m out of town.
