Just when you think Trump could not do anything more stupid, he does and sets new standards.
He already TACO'ed out today about doing anything about Iran for two weeks. Now he has found a way to distract your attention away from important things.
You just need to read this yourself and decide how obscene this is. How uncaring.
He wants people back on a six day work week, where four day work weeks have been tried, and found that people were so productive it worked as well as a five day work week.
"Too many non-working holidays in America. It is costing our Country $BILLIONS OF DOLLARS to keep all of those businesses closed."
Why does this sound like a communist idea? Everybody work for the common good. The $ and then dollars so you've got dollars dollars I'll skip. Our Country. It's MAGA country. I bet they're not going to like this idea. Trump's stolen money out of their wallets, taking away their health-care, and now he wants to take away their free time and celebrations.
"The workers don't want it either!"
Trump hasn't "worked" a day in his life. How would he know what a worker wants? Holidays give us those breaks in the action that make life worth livable.
"Soon we'll end up having a holiday for every once working day of the year."
He probably meant "one" instead of "once," but I don't care and I won't sane-wash what he says. To me, it just one more sign of cognitive decline.
"It must change if we are going to, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"
I'm thinking of Fritz Lang's Metropolis combined with Charlie Chaplin's Modern Times and The Great Dictator. This can't be real.
Sieg Heil! All the signs are there. All the bad signs. But I think I'm going the wrong way. This smacks of communism, not fascism. Fascists knew how to party, in bad ways. Communists take away all the joy on purpose. And that's what Trump is doing every day. He'd take away Christmas if it put a buck in his pocket.
We need to go beyond No Kings Day. No Stalins Day. No Soviet Unions Day. No Lenins Day. No Putins Day. No Maos Day. No Kim Jongs Day. No Communists Day.
Or just Holi-Day.
And then it hit me. It's Juneteenth. He wants the Confederacy to rise again. I think it's why he posted this today. It's even worse than I thought.
