Entire Battalion of 700 Marines deployed to LA

In yet another major provocation, another example of pouring gasoline on an already raging fire, DefSec Pete Hegseth has mobilized an entire battalion of 700 US Marines from Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twenty-nine Palms to Los Angeles in order to bolster the already 2000 National Guard troops deployed (of which only 300 have shown up due to the fact that they were already on exercise and were able to be redeployed.)

The deployment of the full Marine battalion marks a significant escalation in Trump’s use of the military as a show of force against protesters, but it is still unclear what their task will be once in LA, the sources said. Like the National Guard troops, they are prohibited from conducting law enforcement activity such as making arrests unless Trump invokes the Insurrection Act, which permits the president to use the military to end an insurrection or rebellion of federal power.

I have no fucking words right now. Seems Trump has not taken Gavin Newsom’s court case lightly and has decided to ratchet up his war on Los Angeles. The gloves are off, the Rubicon is crossed, and America descends further into chaos.

In other news, National Guard troops were sent to LA without accommodations, food, or fuel, forcing them to sleep on basement and loading dock floors without any equipment. This is how Trump treats our soldiers.
