And in Anapa, a Russian city referred to as notorious for having people fall out of windows, a 23-year-old plunged to his death onto the top of a police car.

“A tragic incident occurred in the residential complex (RC) "Raz. Dva. Tri" in the city of Anapa (Krasnodar Krai), which is notorious for people falling from heights. The RC is located on the Anapa highway.”
How bad must it be for a place IN RUSSIA to be declared “notorious” for death by gravity?

There was another prisoner exchange today.
Russia unleashed a terrible assault on Kyiv, right after Putin’s call with Trump. The attack included more than 500 drones and missiles and lasted nine hours.
Ukraine struck a facility near Moscow that is involved in the production of thermobaric warheads for Shahed drones. A power substation in the same area was also struck.

This story is getting a lot of attention. China worries that if Russia loses, the U.S. will then pivot to confronting China.
Another 1,120 Russians.
Crappy equipment? In Russia? Perish the thought!

1/ Poor-quality and 'fake' electronic warfare equipment is costing the lives of Russian soldiers, say angry Russian warbloggers. A gory video shows a Russian soldier on an ATV being eviscerated by a Ukrainian drone despite the presence of what is said to be a fake EW system. ⬇️

2/ The extremely graphic video shows two soldiers on an all-terrain vehicle which has a frontally mounted EW system with four prominent antennas. It is of no benefit to them, as a drone hits the driver in the chest, decapitating and eviscerating him.
3/ The provision of EW systems is often organised by soldiers themselves from their own salaries, or by volunteers, as the Russian MOD fails to provide men with essential equipment. However, warbloggers say that EW manufacturers rip off soldiers with poor-quality systems.
4/ 'Reporter Filatov' comments: "What is on the video is not EW, but a piece of shit... any specialist will tell you by the antennas. Specifically a specialist, and not a middleman who does not even understand how it works, they need to be shown this... And then punished."
Trump talked to Putin yesterday and came away with nothing, zip, zero, zilch, nada.

Putin and Trump had a call, again. Per Russian readout, Trump called for a ceasefire, Putin said Russia first needs to achieve the goals of the “special military operation,” Trump didn’t object and then they talked about cooperation in promoting “traditional values” in movies.

Pot calls kettle black.
If Trump thinks somebody else is disengaged and “not there,” he must be in Lala land.

“I’ll be talking to Zelensky on Friday. But honestly, I was very disappointed with my call with Putin. Frankly, it feels like Putin is just… not there anymore. I don’t see any willingness to stop. And that’s very bad. He doesn’t seem like someone who wants to end this war,” Trump said.
