Trump has said it multiple times before, and I pointed out that it couldn't be a mistake for "return migration." It's all in caps in the title with quotes, because that's what Trump just did in a Truth Social post.
Remigration is a far-right term for ethnic cleansing. Proponents are white people who want to send non-whites back to their "countries of origin," even for ones born in the host country. Sound familiar? It's Trump's attack on immigrants with Nazi overtones.
Trump has said immigrants were "poisoning the blood of our country." This isn't neo-Nazi, it's full-blown unapologetic Nazi. He said it again in a March, 2024 interview with Fox News. He said it again later on during the campaign.
Now Trump says it all in one word. There is no mistaking it this time. There is no possible claim to ignorance like him saying "Shylock," on July 3rd.
I don't even need to do my normal critique of a Trump post. This is so ridiculously against everything the United States stands for, that it needs no explanation. It would make the Statue of Liberty cry.
He did this one day after the 4th of July. It makes me ashamed of my own country. The quadrupled budget for ICE shows what portends for the future. When US citizens can get thrown out of their own country for saying something against Trump, or against any of his policies, we have a world of trouble on our hands.
