Nazis treated my Great Grandfather better in 1935 than ICE is treating detainees today.

Nazi Germany didn’t happen all at once. It took six years for the truly evil stuff to take hold. As an example, in 1935 the Nazis arrested and imprisoned my Great Grandfather, Friedrich Roetter. He documented his time in jail in his book Might is Right, and after re-reading the section on his incarceration, it struck me that the Nazis treated him better than ICE is treating immigrants today. Let me state this again, ICE today is worse than the Nazis in 1935. Are we all “good Germans?” How far down the road does this go before we truly begin to fight back? ICE is armored up and making moves. What is the resistance doing? Is it going to take five years to roll this back? Is it going to take ten years? Is it going to get really bad before folks begin fighting back?

How evil is this going to get? Right now, the resistance is paralyzed. When is force met with force? Are states going have the ability to band together to stop this authoritarian putsch? WTF?
