On Saturday, Trump posted that he was sending Troops to Portland, Oregon, because Kristi Noem had asked him to. In full, he wrote:
“At the request of Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, I am directing Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, to provide all necessary Troops to protect War ravaged Portland, and any of our ICE Facilities under siege from attack by Antifa, and other domestic terrorists.”
Adding: “I am also authorizing Full Force, if necessary.”
“Full Force”? Is he planning to nuke them?
Noem has seen something that the media in Portland is obviously covering up. Local newspaper, The Portland Tribune, has, either through laziness, incompetence, or malice — I do not know which — failed to report the crisis that necessitated Hegseth to unleash his warrior ethos on the Pacific Northwest.
Here’s its front page today:
Why are they covering up the carnage?
Local authorities are obviously in cahoots with the media in denying the reason given for the invasion of an American city by the US military. Portland Mayor Keith Wilson stated Friday that federal officers are not needed and not wanted in the city. He said:
“We did not ask for them to come.”
Noem, for one, knows better than the people close to the situation. She has established a team to respond to evil agents bringing horror and violence from coast to coast. She tweeted that a Joint Terrorism Task Force will investigate “domestic terrorism,” and seek the “most serious available charges against all participants in these criminal mobs.” Adding:
“I have witnessed the continued onslaught of violence perpetrated against ICE officers across our country. The Department of Justice will not stand idly by in the face of such lawlessness.”
“The rule of law will prevail.”
In addition to his civil war, Trump is also planning a regional conflict by threatening to attack Venezuela.
The administration will no doubt explain at a later date how this bellicosity makes Trump a shoo-in for the Nobel Peace Prize.
